La Culture Mandingue - A Traditional West African Dance Series | 1384 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd | Saturday, 17. August 2019

La Culture Mandingue is a traditional West African dance intensive led by Senegalese-born artist, Assane Kouyaté to honor & celebrate Manding dance, song and musical traditions. AUGUST master series will occur on Aug 10, 17, 24, 31 and will focus on Lengjen & Mendiani - dance, song & rhythms of the Casamance Region & Rites of Passage. Additional traditional dances will also be included at the instructor’s discretion. Live drumming led by master Guinean percussionist Ibrahima Dioubaté. Funding for this program is provided by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners.
