Social & Cultural Diversity Intervention: Justice for All? (for Social Workers) | | Saturday, 28. March 2020
When considering client diversity, how can clinicians effectively conceptualize treatment within the cultural contexts of diverse clients? What is cultural humility and what is its role in developing culturally competent practice? How can clinicians determine answers to questions surrounding beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice in our interactions with all individuals regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation and gender? A highly interactive group format and thought-provoking case vignettes will challenge clinicians to think through diversity-related intervention dilemmas that are occurring in the field today. Related sections of the ACA, NASW Codes of Ethics will be incorporated.
