Transform Film Fest 2018 | Austin School of Film | Saturday, 10. February 2018

Join us in 2018 for ATX's newest & most exciting film fest: featuring women filmmakers across the Texas landscape, transforming the way we view both films and their makers.

Transform Film Fest is produced by the Women's Community Center of Central Texas and the Austin School of Film, in partnership with HIVE Arts Collective. This event is Austin’s only festival dedicated to films exclusively created by women (cis and trans) based in Texas.

The first annual Transform Film Fest will be held at Motion Media Arts Center on February 10 at 6 p.m.

This film festival is organized & produced by three women-run organizations located in Austin, Texas.

Motion Media Arts Center is a 501c(3) non-profit independent film, art, and technology center that supports every aspect of production from creation to presentation. The goal is empower, support and educate emerging artists of all ages to be active participants in shaping our culture and engage communities to rethink the way we view film, art and technology. We provide alternative ways to work, learn, create, and consume the arts in the digital era. The programs include Austin School of Film and Austin Cinemaker Space.

HIVE Arts Collective is a group of women and non-binary folks who come together to learn new skills, meet other creatives, and collaborate on projects. HIVE hosts art workshops and events that support the growth of women and non-binary artists in the Austin community.

Women’s Community Center of Central Texas: The mission of the Women’s Community Center of Central Texas is to promote the well being of Texas women and girls and to build positive connections among people and organizations that do the same. The WCC is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. The Transform Film Festival is part of the WCC Alt Girl Cinema programming.
