Westside Curvy Yoga | Cedar Hills | Wednesday, 16. January 2019

A Studio Class Without the Studio Stereotype.
This class was started by 3 amazing women who were adamantly opposed to setting foot in a yoga studio. That was 5 years ago, and now we’ve outgrown our original space. Our new space is a beautiful private studio in a forest setting, nestled in a quiet part of Cedar Hills.

Curvy Yoga is an empowering yoga class, where bigger-bodied students can practice (re)connecting to themselves! The laid-back atmosphere encourages you to ask questions, explore variations, and learn about movement that fits YOUR body. We are owning our shape unapologetically, and learning to listen to our bodies through movement, breath, and a healthy dose of candidness - we are keeping’ it real! This is not watered-down yoga, there are no assumptions made about your capabilities based on your size or shape. This safe and supportive community teaches you how to work with your body, to appreciate your body, and to see what your body can and was meant to do. It is appropriate for beginner and experienced yogis alike. It is an active - although not vigorous - class, best suited for students who are able to get up and down from the floor with relative ease.

New for 2019: I am thrilled to announce that a portion of all proceedes from the Westside Curvy Yoga class will be donated to DAYA Foundation, Portland’s only non-profit yoga studio. DAYA (Delivering Accessible Yoga Alternatives) offers many outreach programs, including medical scholarships for yoga therapy needs as well as The Prison Mala Project. For more info on DAYA Foundation, visit dayafoundation.org.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Free parking is available on-site. For those who prefer public transportation, the Sunset Max station is your train stop, then transfer to Bus 50-Cedar Mill and get off at NW 107th Ave. It’s about 1/4 mile walk from there.
What can I bring into the event?
A mat! If you have your own props, you are welcome to bring them with you, but the studio has everything you’ll need to practice except a mat. If you are new to yoga, or traveling without your mat, a couple loaner mats are available.
What's the refund policy?
No refunds on pre-paid tickets. In the case of an extenuating circumstance, discussed directly with the instructor prior to the start of the class to be missed, every effort will be made to accommodate you on an alternate date.
Do you accept payment on site?
Yes! Cash payment of $15 is accepted on site, but pre-registration/payment through Eventbrite is strongly preferred (and cheaper!)
What's the actual address of the studio?
Specific studio address will be provided via email upon registration. If you are not preregistering, please contact curvyyogapdx@gmail.com prior to class for directions.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Email: curvyyogapdx@: 248-890-6693 (please include your name if texting so I know who you are!)
