01. March 2018 - 18:00 till 21:00
Mujeres: “La Tierra del Olvido” | Villa Victoria Center For The Arts | Thursday, 01. March 2018
This March, celebrate Women’s History month with art created by Latinas and inspired by their cultural heritage. In partnership with the Lucero Project, we’re presenting work from Stephanie Aguayo (Miami, 1998) and Rebekak Vargas (Miami, 1994). Aguayo’s experimental college addresses exoticism and tourism in the Caribbean while Vargas uses photography, video, and poetry to portray both factual histories and alternative narratives related to her Nicaraguan ancestry. Support these emerging Latina artists as they unveil their thought-provoking works.
