Total Solar Eclipse 2024 | Burlington, Vermont | Monday, 08. April 2024

Attendance at our last get together for the 2017 eclipse was abysmal, so I have planned this one even more in advance to avoid conflicts. Please be aware of the following:

Location: Burlington, Vermont
Start of eclipse: 2:14 p.m. EDT
Start of totality: 3:26 p.m. EDT
Length of totality: 2 minutes, 11 seconds
End of eclipse: 4:37 p.m. EDT
Extracurricular activities: Beer!!

Let'***** up some great breweries (The Alchemist, Lawson's, Hill Farmstead, and many others) in the Burlington, Vermont area before taking in another life-changing cosmic event. The 2017 eclipse was truly one of the most remarkable things I have ever seen. Imagine a hole punch being taken to the sun — it really was like something out of a dream. I 100 percent recommend traveling for this. And since it's a Monday, you can once again make a weekend out of it.

See the path of totality here: http://eclipsewise.com/solar/SEgmap/2001-2100/SE2024Apr08Tgmap.html

(P.S.: This will be your last good chance to check out a total solar eclipse in the United States until 2045.)

Hopefully no one has kids in the next seven years. OK. See you in 2024!
