BLACK MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS | Johnson C. Smith University (DUKE HALL) | Thursday, 28. February 2019

National statistic report that one only out of three African American who need mental health care receives care.  This is critical.  Mental health is still a taboo topic the African American communities and often left untreated creates a risk that must be addressed.
On Thursday February 28, 2019 8:30 am – 12:00 pm we will be continuing the conversation on “Black Mental Health Matters.”  The goal is to heighten the awareness and to create conversation and engagement on the stigma and effect on individuals suffering with Mental Health in the African American communities. Please join me and special guest speakers in this discussion on helping to end the STIGMA among the African American community. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:30am.
