Tiny Home Groundbreaking Block Party | 601 N Marquette St, Davenport, IA 52802-1364, United States | Saturday, 18. April 2020
Join us for a block party from Noon-2:30 PM to raise funds to build a tiny home for a One Eighty participant as well as raise funds for the Iowa Quad Cities Rotary Club annual programs. There will be food, bounce house, carnival games, smores, and more included with your ticket purchase! Other fun ways to participate at the party include a tiny house art competition for a chance to win a Family Museum pass. Don't want to buy tickets online? Contact any of the Iowa Quad Cities Rotary members for tickets or buy them at the door the day of the event. TIckets will be $20 at the door for individuals and $50 at the door for families of four. Parking will be available behind the community center as well as on 6th and 7th street. What is the tiny home project? We are building the Quad Cities first tiny home for the homeless. The home is a 280 square foot tiny home including a kitchen, bathroom, laundry area, living room, and bedroom for a One Eighty participant. This participant is a graduate of the One Eighty program where he invested 50+ hours a week to classes, spiritual growth, and a work program. In addition to the tiny home, funds will be used for Iowa Quad Cities Rotary projects including Lids for Kids, Challenger Little League on the newly built Miracle Field, Gods Mercy Orphanage in Uganda, holiday food baskets, international exchange students, scholarships, global polio eradication, and more!
