The Choral Pilgrimage 2020: The Call of Rome - Croydon | Wednesday, 09. September 2020

2020 marks the 20th anniversary of The Sixteen’s annual Choral Pilgrimage tour. Since 2000 the choir have travelled the length and breadth of the UK, discovering some of the country’s most beautiful architecture and building relationships with wonderful communities, many of which they return to year after year.

This year’s tour focuses on Rome, a city which has inspired countless pilgrimages, and where each of the four composers in this year’s programme created some of their finest work. Victoria's powerful Tenebrae Responsories for Holy Saturday frame a programme of motets by Josquin, Felice Anerio and Allegri, culminating in Allegri's eternal Miserere.

Tickets: £10 - £20, with discounts of 50% available for students, under 35's, job-seekers, people living with a disability and their carers.
