Girls in Aviation Day Dallas 2017 | Frontiers Of Flight Museum | Saturday, 23. September 2017

The North Texas Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI) has announced that a free program is offered to local girls ages 8 to 16 years to introduce them to the possibilities available in a career in aviation.

The day’s activities will take place at the Frontiers of Flight Museum from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017. More than 500 girls along with their chaperones are expected to attend. The first 250 attendees will receive a pink Girls in Aviation Day backpack with an Aviation for Girls magazine and WAI whirlygig.

Attendees will have the opportunity to talk to women in various fields of aviation and aerospace, including pilots, engineers, air traffic controllers, airport managers, business owners, and more. Exciting hands-on activities, such as flight simulators, build-a-helicopter, aviation phonetics, a scavenger hunt through the Frontiers of Flight museum and more will also be available.

We will be hosting a career panel from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. Come see an airline pilot, air traffic controller, airplane mechanic, flight attendant, engineer, military pilot, airline dispatcher and airport manager talk about their careers! The auditorium will only seat 200 so please arrive early to save your seat!

We still need volunteers to make this day a success!!!!
