Lumonics School of Light Art
New morning and afternoon classes begin the 1st Saturday of every month and run 4 consecutive Saturdays. Call 303.568.9406 for more information.

Feb. 2 - Feb. 234 consecutive Saturdays from 9a - 12 noon (filled)4 consecutive Saturdays from 2p - 5p

It is a 12-hour course, made up of four 3-hour sessions. Classes are limited to 4 students so you receive lots of personal attention.
We have a model to view, one of Dorothy’s light sculptures, to give you creative ideas. The cube is one of the building blocks of this Tanner light art form that began over 50 years ago!
Once you are guided in constructing a cube and lighting it with your choice of a white or a changing color bulb with a remote control. you will personalize it, as Dorothy did, to satisfy your artistic sensibility.
You will learn how to electrify your art work using LED bulbs/LED strips dependent on your project, learn what shop tools are required, and how to use them. You will add your creativity to the art work to bring it to completion on the final session.
Minimum age: 18If you are considering a Sunday or weekday class, particularly with a group of friends, co-workers, or family members, email us your preference at: lumonics@ if you have to miss a class we will do our best to accommodate you for a make-up session.
Cost: $240 ($20 an hour) + material costs of $65 to create your light sculpture: 9″W x 9″D x 11.5″T white cube, with your own design integrated on it.You have your choice of a white or a changing color bulb with remote cost: $305Checks or credit/debit cards accepted.

Dorothy Tanner makes unscheduled visits to check on everyone’s progress.
