Amatsu Tatara Hichibuku Goshin-jutsu (天津 蹈鞴 秘致武九護身術) | Bujinkan Namiryu Dojo | Saturday, 07. October 2017

Hi All,
I'm delighted to announce that Peter King - Menkyo Kaiden (免許皆伝) will be returning to share a 2 day Amatsu Tatara workshop in Dublin this coming October.

This is Peters follow up module (Level 1, Module 2) presenting Hatsumi Soke's material in this format offers a great opportunity for everyone (regardless of experience) to get a practical insight into this ancient healing art.

There will be hard copy notes issued to all attendees (no electronic copies & filming isn't permitted).
For new participants who happened to miss the first module in May there will an opportunity for a quick 'catch-up' and there are also some spare Module 1 manuals available for anyone who missed out.

The event will be held in the Bujinkan Namiryu Dojo in Harolds Cross, Dublin. This is a traditional dojo and all practice will be done in the traditional way (ie. on the matted floor - but techniques can be adapted to using a plinth).
Cost is €150 for the 2 days (€80 for 1 day)

Times: Registration at 10am Saturday morning (please see Susan Spain to sign in/pay). We'll be starting at 10.30am, finishing at 5.30pm.
Lunch: 1pm-2pm - Peggy Kellys Pub, 161 Harold's Cross Rd (about 5mins walk) does a good lunch / pub grub.
Parking: There is a small industrial estate at the end of Greenmount Avenue, Harolds Cross with limited parking, perhaps car pooling would be best if you are in a group.
Note: Please leave all footwear in the area provided just inside the front door. We'll be working/sitting on the matted floor for most of the time so feel free to bring a cushion(s) for comfort
  • Coming up this weekend folks!
  • Sorry folks, I wont be able to make this one. Hopefully see you all again on the next one.
  • Three weeks to go folks, feel free to share with or invite anyone else you think may be interested - no previous experience required, looking forward to seeing everyone - Alan
  • I'm gutted, will have to miss this one as 20yr reunion in Galway!
  • Looks awesome, have fun!
  • From Peter ... 'I am deeply honoured to have received the ‘Amatsu Tatara Hisshin Ginkō Hibun’ (天津鞴韜謐心誾諕秘文) document from Hatsumi Sōke. This document was hand-written by Sōke and also certifies the transmission of the 'Kuden' (口伝 ) of the Amatsu Tatara Hisshin Ginkō Hibun (天津鞴韜謐心誾諕秘文) (from Sōke to me). I assert that I will do my best to serve Sōke and my fellow 'Buyu', by trying to be equal to the faith and responsibility, that Sōke has so kindly afforded me. There are four lines of the Amatsu Tatara and these are divided into; Shūmon 宗門 (religious gate) & Bumon 武門 (martial gate). The Nakatomi (中臣) and the Monobe (物部) family lines of the Amatsu Tatara are the Shūmon and these contain the medical & health practices (including 'spiritual treatments'). The Nakatomi line is called the Nakatomi Tatara Hibun [中臣鞴韜秘文) and was passed on to their eventual descendants the Kuki (九鬼) family. The Monobe line is the Amatsu Tatara Hisshin Ginkō Roku [天津鞴韜謐心誾諕録] and the Amatsu Tatara Hisshin Ginkō Hibun (天津鞴韜謐心誾諕秘文) is the Kuden (口伝) or (secret) oral transmission of the Amatsu Tatara Hisshin Ginkō Roku' - Peter King
