Join us for an afternoon that may save a life, First Aid! Have you ever crashed on the trail? Come across someone in need of assistance? Learn what to do in an emergency! This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. This instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Students will practice hands on dressing of realistic injuries during the course. Students learn duties & responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings. Learn what your hiking and riding first aid kit should contain. This course is highly recommended for cyclists, coaches, instructors, campers, hikers and althletes!
