Solidarity Rally/March to Support Muslim,&Immigrant Communities | Pennsylvania State Capitol | Sunday, 09. April 2017

This rally is to show solidarity against bigotry, racism, and discrimination! This gathering is in response to President Trump's recent order banning immigrants, and refugees from six Muslim predominant countries, including Middle Eastern and African countries, in most of which the United States government is currently bombing or have bombed recently . Please join us and stand by our Muslim brothers and sisters, their families, immigrants, refugees, and ALL the marginalized communities who are suffering from intolerance, and hatred.

  • The report of two DE senators walking out before the opening invocation, only because it was delivered by two Imams, confirmed that I needed to attend this rally... This really saddened me.

  • Forgive me, I'm not FB savvy but trying to get the word out to like minded folks that the tax march in DC is coming up on April 15th to tell Trump we want to see his taxes! I'd love to know how little he had before election and how rich he gets after a year in office! There's a bus trip, round trip, to leave Harrisburg mall on the 15th to take us to the Tax March and back again. There are still seats available. I realize there are probably better places to post this but I don't know them. If you know of where to get the word out, please share this info. Thanks.
  • Sorry to miss this! But I'll be helping with training some new progressive candidates to challenge PA's reactionary political status quo!

  • So tell me again how this isn't a Muslim ban? Below is a mother's recent post about her daughter who was denied entrance to the USA after taking a trip. A US born citizen was denied entrance back into the country she was born in, a country she calls home? Let that sink in. "I've been absent from my social media because I was taking an epic journey to surprise my mother, father, family & friends by going with them to umrah again Alhamdullilah! (Pictures to come soon iA). But today, as we tried to board our flight back to America my daughter, my 17 year old, my kind, my courteous, my loved by many, my Tennessee born daughter was denied entry back to her country, my country, our country. In this new #America a citizen of our country can be unlawfully denied entry for no apparent reason other than border patrol would not clear her United States passport for entry. In this new #America my family, my patriotic, my community serving family can be denied entry back to our own homeland. In this new #America my family can be treated unjustly by my own country. Is this the new Great America?" They will try to board a flight back from Turkey again this Wednesday. Until then, they are currently stuck.
