Youth Birding Club - May 2019 | Environmental Institute of Houston (UHCL) | Saturday, 18. May 2019

New members are always welcome! We are located in the Houston Clear Lake area for children aged 7-13 who are accompanied by an *****. An ***** may be accompanied by up to three children and typically enjoys him/herself as much as the youngsters!  Each month we explore our beautiful UHCL campus and discover the many bird species (as well as other wildlife) that live and visit here with an experienced birder and birding educator.
We meet at the Environmental Institute of Houston (EIH) which is situated on the University of Houston Clear Lake campus. You will find us in the garden in front of the NOA 1 building, which is on the north side of campus close to Entrance 3 (Middlebrook Road) and adjacent to Parking Lot D4. There is no fee for parking at the weekend.
For a campus map please visit:
Wear closed toed shoes. We also highly recommend wearing long pants, a long sleeved shirt, sunhat, sunscreen and insect repellent.
Bring binoculars and a birding book if you have them. Don't worry if you don't have these items or even if you have never been birding before - we have good quality binoculars to share and are delighted to welcome beginners.
Make sure that you bring water to drink (and a snack if you wish).
This opportunity is organized with the wonderful help of volunteers from the Galveston Bay Area Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists.
There is no charge, but please register so that we can plan effectively.
