Jonny Lang | Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort | Friday, 16. March 2018

Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort is excited to announce the return of blues artist Jonny Lang to the Grand Oak Ballroom stage on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 7 p.m.

For over two decades, soulful American blues and rock artist, Jonny Lang, has mesmerized audiences worldwide with his impressive guitar playing. Jonny Lang was only twelve years old when he started playing guitar- and everyone immediately noticed how naturally gifted he was. From his noticeable voice and skills with a guitar, the once child prodigy released his first album, Smokin’, with his band Kid Jonny Land & The Big Bang in 1995. In 1997, career took off with the release of Lie to Me. His album Wander this World in 1997 earned Jonny a Grammy nomination and his 2006 album Turn Around won him his first Grammy award.

Jonny became an independent artist and created his own label, SayRai Music, after his 2007 album Turn Around and welcomed the change of approach towards his new works. After working with Eric Clapton for nearly three years, Jonny released his Fight for My Soul album in September 2013. His newest album, Signs, was released in September 2017 paying homage to Jonny’s roots. By focusing on recapturing the spirit of early blues, Signs features signature guitar solos bringing the instrument’s sound to the fore front of the album. This guitar studded album reaffirms Jonny Lang’s commitment to playing the blues, as well as to his fans- who will, without a doubt, be captivated by Jonny’s distinctive playing style.
