The Innocence of Trees: Artist Reception | DRAWING ROOMS | Sunday, 23. April 2017

THE INNOCENCE OF TREES, 4/21/17 - 6/10/17, is a group show featuring drawing, painting, photography, sculpture and installation by nine artists in 9 gallery rooms, Anne Doris-Eisner, Claire McConaughy, Dana Scott, Geoffrey Sokol, James Pustorino, Julie Anne Mann, Kathleen Vance, Shelley Haven and Yeon Ji Yoo, who create works which focus on a study of trees. The show is curated by Anne Trauben.

Beginning on Earth Day, Drawing Rooms will be a forest, as we celebrate our love of Planet Earth. This is our second show of the year in response to the new administration.

The public is invited to the Artist Reception for The Innocence of Trees on Sunday, 4/23/16 from 3-6p. and to the free Artist Talks on Saturday 5/6/17, Sunday, 5/7/17, from 3-6pm, where they can meet the artists in a small group setting to learn about their work, and to the Closing Party Sat 6/10/17, 3-6p.

Victory Hall DRAWING ROOMS is a contemporary art center in a former convent featuring two and three-dimensional works by emerging and mid-career artists in NJ and the NY Metropolitan Area. Located in vibrant downtown Jersey City, the gallery has 20 rooms, including a gallery shop and artist work-spaces.
