  • "DELICIOUS DESSERT" ENTRY FORM- Please submit all entries by 4:30 pm on Saturday, September 16th, along with 5 recipe cards, in foil or disposable dish, covered, with name on it. Also print this entry form, fill it out and bring with $10 Entry fee per dish (3rd, 4th and more entries decrease in price to $5 per entry), and bring all to the event area at the fairgrounds. As posted before, everyone will be required to pay Tractor Pull fee of $15, but you get all these activities free with entry to pull! Be sure to check out the Karaoke Show and contest as well as the Light Show in the Pageant Building. The CHILI Cook-Off event will also be going on at the same time. This post has a few corrections that were made. Here are the Rules, Entry Fees, Variety of each contests' ingredients, for the Upcoming Chili-Cook-Off, Karaoke Contest, And Dessert Contest. This will be a Fund-Raiser for the cause we have adopted, "BROKEN WINGS", which benefits the kiddos in our county from Broken homes and their families. We have planned a fun-filled day and evening, in conjunction with the OC Fair's Truck & Tractor Pull being held September 16th. Admission to the Pull will include the Pageant committee's events, which will be lots of fun for everyone. Ok Firemen, Policemen (& women), we are calling you out! It's time to show us what you're really made of. Do it for a good cause! You will not regret "Giving Back" and "Paying It Forward"!!! We are challenging all Fire houses and Police stations, as well as our Sponsors, Friends, Family and the whole community to show us your talents! How HOT are you and your talents? All entrants will be expected to pay $15 Truck & Tractor Pull entry fee. This fee will also permit them to attend the KARAOKE CONTEST, the DESSERT CONTEST, the CHILI CONTEST, the BEER TRAILER (with added beer cost), the All-Day & Nite Karaoke Party and Light Shows in the Pageant Building, along with the Fabulous Truck and TRACTOR Pull! The chili & desserts must be brought in by 4 pm on Sept. 16. Entries are: CHILI: 1-2 entry $10 each 3 & more add $5 each VARIETIES: 1. Best Beef Chili-no beans 2. Best Beef Chili-with beans 3. Best Chicken or other meat Chili-no beans 4. Best Chicken or other meat Chili-with beans 5. "Spicy-est" Chili-with or without beans 6. Most Unique Ingredient Recipe Chili 7. Best "Gas Producing" Chili 8. Full of Beans Chili 9. Best Vegetarian Chili 10. White or "NON-RED" Chili β–  Every entry must have 5 copies of the recipe on index cards submitted with the Chili at sign-in. β–  Every Chili must have an "Original Name". Make it your very own, ha! β–  Every Chili must be submitted in a large crockpot, warmed, & ready to judge after submitting. Crockpot should have owners' name on it. β–  Awards & prizes will be presented when judging is complete. Tables, electric plug-ins, & signage for each entry will be provided by the Pageant Committee. All entries will then be sold "by the bowl" to visitors as part of the fund raiser. Empty crockpots can be picked up after the sale is over later that evening or on Sunday, Sept. 17th 1 pm-2 pm. ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE "BROKEN ANGEL" Campaign, which will help children from Broken Homes & their families. The Pageant Committee has adopted this particular campaign because it is the Platform for our Mrs. OC FAIR, APRIL BAKER, and this problem is so very prevalent in our county, our schools, neighborhoods, and community. We chose this "Cause" to "Pay It Forward" & "Give Back" because there are so many children that need help, attention, necessities, medication, and our love and care! We hope everyone will see the need, as well, and participate in this fun, fun event in order to help us succeed in this important campaign.Thank you all, in advance, for your support, no matter how small or how insignificant. TOGETHER WE ALL CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THESE KIDS LIVES!!! DESSERTS: CAKES, PIES, COOKIES, CANDY, CUPCAKES Entry Fees: 1-2 Entries $10 EACH 3 or more Entries add $5 each β–  Each dish should be either disposable or foil pans that can be discarded. β–  Each dish should have owners name on it and be covered with plastic wrap. β–  Each dish should have 5 copies of the recipe on an index card submitted with entry. β–  Each dish, after judging is complete, will be sold to guests as a part of the fund raiser. β–  All entries should be home-made. VARIETIES: -"No-Bake", cakes, pies, candy, cup cakes, & cookies -"Chocolate Envy", any item -"Grandma's Recipe", any item -"Unique Recipe", any item -"Everyday Goodness", any item KARAOKE CONTEST: The contest will start around 7:30 pm to 8 pm on Sept. 16th. Anybody, any age, OR gender may enter the contest. Entry fee is $10 per person. Judging will be on-going through out the evening. After all entrants have performed, awards will be presented. We are pretty pumped about this event. As most of you know, we, the pageant committee had fund raisers last year, in order to adopt a family at holiday time. It was to say the least, rewarding & humbling, and taught the Pageant winners, parents, our committee and all involved about the gifts and rewards of "Giving Back" and "Paying It Forward". We learned about those less fortunate, and how everyone can help others, no matter how young, how wealthy, how empowered or not, and we learned true "gratitude" from those we helped. I hope we get that opportunity again this year! Thank you to all for the support, love and kindness you have shown to us in the past, and hope you all find it in your hearts to do so again. And hope to see you at the fair Sept. 16th for an awesome day and evening full of fun, laughs, competing, helping others, and just plain ole having a good time with friends, family and loved ones.   • PLEASE SHARE!!! 🌢🌢🌢🌢🌢🌢🌢🌢🌢🌢🌢🌢🌢🌢 Hey everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know about our Fund Raising Events coming up. We have adopted the "BROKEN ANGEL" Charity as our campaign this year! This charity benefits children from Broken homes. This includes the family, meaning siblings, and the single parent trying to raise the children alone. We have already adopted a family with 3 children, the mom, and 2 elderly grandparents, 1 that is bed-fast. The mom works, raises the children and is the caregiver of the elders. They have a pretty hard time with everyday living, due to their hardships. Our intent is to help with necessities, medications, as well as food and clothing for the kiddos. In addition, we plan to help relieve the holiday stress by providing food, and Christmas gifts for the children, and whatever else the family might need. We are really excited and ready to "Pay It Forward" and "Give Back"! Our first fund raiser is in conjunction with the OC Fair's Tractor Pull September 16th. We are hosting: 1. A Chili Cook Off 2. A Delicious Dessert Contest 3. A Karaoke Contest This is how it works: Everyone will pay $15 to enter the truck pull, and for no additional expense, will be entitled to watch the Chili Cook Off and Dessert Contest Judging, and the Karaoke Show and Light Shows in the Pageant Building. AND if you'd like to enter into one of the competitions it's only $10 each for the first 2 entries, then for 3 or more the price decreases to only $5 each. There will be a KARAOKE CONTEST featuring DJ " BAMBAM" Nick Ford AND A "DELICIOUS DESSERT" CONTEST, as well, on this day at the fairgrounds. All entries should be submitted by no later than 4:30 pm at the CHILI TENT on the midway at the fairgrounds. Entry fees are only $10 for the 1st and 2nd entry, then the 3rd, 4th and so on, price decreases to only $5 per entry, for either CHILI or DESSERTS. KARAOKE Entry Fee is $10 per person, no age limit. Contest begins at 7:30 pm. Sign up before 7 pm. In the Pageant Building at the fairgrounds. There will be 2 or 3 rounds, depending on number of entries. Entry requires admission to the Tractor Pull, which is $15, but entitles you to the Pull, Karaoke Party in the Pageant Building all afternoon and evening, Beer Trailer (for an added fee), and all the contests, judging, shows, and lighting exhibit by DJ "BAMBAM" NICK FORD. It's going to be a fun filled, jam packed, exciting time for the whole family.
