1 Hour Online Class: Swing Dance Cardio | Sunday, 31. May 2020

With Jeff Tong

It might come as a surprise that swing dancing, whilst super fun and social, is actually exercise! Let’s keep you active whilst you are stuck at home and take this form of dance cardio to the next level.

Using many recognisable jazz steps, footwork patterns, and some much loved routines from SwingTrain, join Jeff in some energetic moves for an hour. Suitable for all levels of fitness, dance ability and ages, Jeff will guide you through each routine, break down tricky moves and show variations for those wanting to take it down (or up) a notch.

All you need is a clear space at home, some active/gym gear, trainers and a drink of water on standby!

When you purchase the class, we’ll send you an email with a link to the unlisted video on youtube. Please don’t share this link with others as the income from the classes is helping us and the teachers keep going while we’re in lockdown. If you have a question for Jeff about the class, either comment on the video or you can email email and we’ll pass along your enquriy.

Once our classes are back in real life, we’ll leave the videos up for a little while but will remove them a month after the regular classes have restarted.

We’re hoping that this is a way that we can continue to support our teachers and Swing Patrol over the coming weeks and also give you some dancing to work on at home. The income from the courses will be split between the teachers and Swing Patrol as usual (after payment fees and VAT have been accounted for) and the team running these courses have generously decided to share all the income equally amongst them. What that means is that if you only want to focus on your solo stuff, then the teachers doing the partnered Lindy courses will still get a share of the income.

This is your team!

The courses will also generate a small income for our ticketing platform, DanceCloud, which, as you can imagine, is also going to be heavily impacted by all the closures. You can read more about DanceCloud here. Please note that DanceCloud wasn’t designed to be used for online classes so some of the wording of the tickets might be misleading. Please do email us at email if you have any questions.
