  • At Las Mojarras Restaurante on 15th and Lake Street, we are excited to present Janet Nightingale (performing from 12:00 - 12:30pm) and **** Mexico (performing from 12:30-1:30pm)! ------- Janet Nightingale, an 80’s baby, born into a very talented family where her mother was a professional singer for 25 years, traveling all over the country of Mexico. As young as six years old, Janet appeared on stages with her famous mother, and attended prestigious fine arts schools. As she grew, so did her passion for performing, she was invited to open for the Minnesota state theatre and Cinco de Mayo events. Also during this time, won first place in Twin Cities Idol, she was asked to sing for the Twins Baseball Game 7th inning. Janet Performed in New York City at the famous Carnegie Hall in 2004. Music brought Janet to more places than she could imagine. She will unquestionably open up ears and create a buzz in the music industry with what she has in store. ---------- Founded in the Twin Cities in the 1990’s, **** Mexico first appeared at small events and venues, as the Hispanic community was establishing. The repertoire included the classic mariachi and bolero songs, sometimes with pop American influences. Later, the growing community of Hispanics and the unique interpretation of the ****, created a prominent demand that contributed to the acquaintance of the Twin Cities’ community with the music style and culture. People enjoy the urban folk, Mexico City’s radio like style of the ****, at performances in any venue and event of the Twin Cities’ melting pot. The **** performs requinto (traditional Mexican lead guitar), a Spanish guitar, and a guitarrón (a six strings acoustic mariachi bass guitar), which combined with vocals create its iconic world style.
