Classic Savor and Stroll Culinary Tour (Morristown, NJ) | Saturday, 14. April 2018

Walk, Eat, Learn, and Laugh with Savor and Stroll Culinary Tours  "Classic Savor and Stroll" tour in Morristown, NJ

Meet your guide at 1:20-1:25 at the corner of Court and Washington near the County Court House and Morris County Tourism Bureau.  Please print this waiver   which must be signed prior to the start of the tour. Extra copies will be available.

Your tour starts at 1:30 and continues through the historic streets of Morristown with samplings from a total of 5-6 restaurants and food shops in town.  Come hungry!  All food is included.   A soft drink or water is included at one location. An ***** beverages can be purchased at that same location.  Rest rooms are available at two stops.  The tour is approximately 3-3 1/2 hours over about 2 1/2-3 miles. Consider bringing a water bottle, especially on very hot days! 

You'll hear about the historic churches & their cemeteries, the Morristown Green and its statues, several mansions, famous residents and locations of significance during the Revolutionary War and Gilded Age!

Pre-registration 12 hours prior to the event is required. Tour operates rain or shine and tour guide is not responsible for missed stops if a participant is late. Tour operator does reserve the right to cancel and provide a full refund in the event of extreme weather or low registration (under 4 people). Groups of 8 or more are able to schedule personalized dates and receive a group discount.  E-mail tour operator at email.

Convenient parking is available at the Ann Bank Garage (41 Bank St, accessible from Bank Street or Schuyler Place). Parking is also available at the DeHart Street Garage or in other public garages in Morristown.  Street parking is NOT recommended because meter time is limited and the tour may not pass the meter for you to add  time.


 Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

The Classic Savor and Stroll tour is best for ages 12 through adulthood.  It would likely be difficult for children ages 2-11. Newborns and those likely to be happy in a carrier or stroller should be fine, and there is no charge for them, but please alert us so we can plan accordingly.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking information is provided above, there is a good deal of walking during the event.  There are a few opportunities to sit throughout the day and benches along the path in different locations.

What can I bring into the event?

Consider bringing a bottle of water.  ***** beverages are available at one stop and shopping is available at the chocolatier and olive oil and vinegar tap room, so cash or credit card may be needed!

What should I wear?

There is a lot of walking on the tour, sometimes on uneven walkways.  Comfortable walking shoes, or sneakers are recommended!  You will get about 5000-6000 steps in on the walk! Consider the weather as well and dress appropriately!

What's the refund policy?

Refunds up to 7 days prior are available. Within 7 days, re-scheduling is possible up to noon on the day before your tour.  After noon on the day before the event, food is ordered and other potential customers are turned away if a tour is full, so refunds and rescheduling is not possible.   

In the event the tour operator cancels for inclement weather or low participation (under 4 people), a refund or rescheduling will be available.
