The recipient of the C. Newton Schenck III Award for Lifetime Achievement in and Contribution to the Arts is Rafael Ramos founder of Bregamos Community Theater whose mission is bringing New Haveners together around collective, diverse artistic practice by and for the community.
Amity Teen CenterThe Amity Teen Center strives to provide a creative outlet to teens through music, visual and performing arts through after-school programming, multicultural programs, and an array of community service projects.
Elm City Dance CollectiveElm City Dance Collective was founded with the intention of creating a stronger, more vibrant home for contemporary dance in the greater New Haven area.
Elm City Freddy Fixer ParadeThe Elm City Freddy Fixer Parade began as a Dixwell-Newhallville neighborhood clean-up campaign in 1962. Today, the parade is nationally recognized as one of the oldest Black American parades in the Northeast.
