Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Instructor 2-Day Course | Katz Institute for Women's Health | Thursday, 15. August 2019

Becoming an American Heart Association instructor is easy and the steps are simple. Here's how to get started:

Have current AHA BLS provider status
Successfully complete this discipline-specific classroom Instructor Course
Successfully be monitored teaching your first course within six months of completing the discipline-specific classroom Instructor Course. Training Center Coordinators can require additional monitoring.

Once you become an Instructor, you will have access to the most current emergency cardiovascular care science, course updates, training resources and tools through the online AHA Instructor Network.

About this course:
This is a two day course. Students must attend both days to pass the course. Class is from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Thursday.

What are the prerequisites for taking this course?
You must have a current Basic Life Support Provider certification. If you do not, you can take the online course here before registering for the instructor course.

What do I need to know about parking?
There is free parking available outside the 1981 building. Parking can be limited so please arrive early. You will need to get a parking pass from the booths upon entering the location.

What should I bring into the event?
The course is from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. You may bring lunch and a snack with you. Bottled water and coffee can be provided. There is a cafe in the building and shops adjacent the office as well.
