8th Annual Pig & Punch NOLA - Presented by The Bon Vivants | Washington Square | Sunday, 23. July 2017

It is that time again! The Bon Vivants and USBG National Charity Foundation are excited to invite you to the 8th Annual Pig & Punch New Orleans at Tales of the Cocktail! We can’t wait to get back to where it all started for yet another year of pig, punch and party for charity!

For those that are completely unfamiliar - prior to each event, we coordinate a large group that volunteers their time at a local charter school to work on any projects that need to get done (painting, landscaping, deep cleaning, moving lots of heavy objects etc. - if you're interested in volunteering: Pig & Punch New Orleans '17 Volunteer Day)... then we throw a big drinking, eating, and dancing party, and all the proceeds are donated back to that school. It’s about building community around food, bev, and the people that love it. To date, Pig & Punch / Swig n' Swine has raised $336,152.29 and coordinated 9,041 cumulative man hours of volunteer labor for charter schools in Miami, New Orleans, Brooklyn, Portland, Austin and San Francisco.

At Pig & Punch, the cocktails are a little tongue-in-cheek so like always, we've got 8 MASSIVE barrels of punch crafted by The Bon Vivants, games, some other funny tricks, a live DJ with a few performances from New Orleans’ own 7 piece Most Wanted Brass Band to keep us dancing all afternoon, plus tons of pig and sides cooked up by some of our favorite chefs. We’ve got several hundred t-shirts and tanks with this year’s NOLA logo printed by our San Francisco homies, Babylon Burning Screen Printing, Inc., and we plan on selling every one of them for the kids. Remember, the event is free but if you don't buy a t-shirt, you're kinda an #*%@&^?! So bring your empty belly, your smiles, and at least 40 bucks (we take credit cards) for your t-shirt-for-charity and maybe a little extra for all the other cool sh*t we'll be hawking to raise money for the kids.

Last year, you helped us set a record in New Orleans by raising $36,948.28 for KIPP New Orleans, and brought our grand total to over $300,000! This year, let’s demolish that record and try to tip the scales to over $350,000!

Like all other Pig & Punch parties, we will have an amazing lineup of chefs who are generously donating their time to come throw down with us:

Chef Mike Gulotta, MOPHO Restaurant
Chef Chris Curren, Fulton Market Kitchen
Chef Daniel Causgrove, Seaworthy
Chef Shavell Provost, A Mobile Kitchen
Chef Chris Lusk, The Bayou Bar

We can't wait to see you all and donate a ton of money to KIPP New Orleans Schools, whose mission is to help students develop the knowledge and skills they need to seize those opportunities. Great education transforms lives. Come out, have a blast, and support the cause. You don't want to miss it!

POST SCRIPT: It is very important to us to recognize and show gratitude to all of our partners and sponsors on this event series... some long time, some new. Without all of their commitments, this event series would not be possible. Love them, use them, order them, and thank them.
