Apply Like a Boss: Student Version (2.0) | The Cornell Club New York | Saturday, 07. March 2020

You’ve started thinking about college and talked to other kids who have been through the process, but you still have questions and you want expert advice.  That’s where Eva Ostrum, a former Yale admissions officer and lifelong educator, can help. Eva provides college admissions counseling that helps you put your best foot forward, while at the same time reducing your stress and making the process manageable.  By the end of your three hours working interactively with Eva, you will learn to

Anticipate how the way in which the admissions process works for applicants from the Greater New York area will impact your candidacy at different colleges;

Judge a school's fit for you;

Focus your extracurricular activities in a way that effectively captures and communicates your passions and interests;

Select teachers to write recommendations that make a difference; and

Execute a strategy for standardized testing that minimizes stress while optimizing your performance.

Unlike other methods that focus on packaging, branding, or simply “getting in,” Eva’s holistic approach highlights your strengths and identifies opportunities for a rich and rewarding college experience. You will leave the workshop with an individualized plan that prepares you to approach the college admissions process with energy and confidence.
Registration will be limited to the first 12 respondents, so reserve your place now!  A complimentary buffet breakfast will be served.
