Flatiron Talk Tuesday- Female Empowerment 101 | Flatiron South Public Plaza | Tuesday, 18. June 2019

The Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership Business Improvement District (BID), in collaboration with General Assembly and local institutions and businesses, presents eight weeks of free educational and cultural talks on the Flatiron South Public Plaza.

Female Empowerment 101 | Uplift Studios
It’s our time, ladies! Led by Leanne Shear, founder of Uplift and expert in female empowerment, this class isn’t a deep dive into or an academic exploration of the feminist movement past or present.
What it IS is an interactive seminar that encourages participants (women and their male allies) to explore the ways that women can get empowered personally in order to attain power societally. We’ll discuss why female empowerment is needed, as well as the different pillars of female empowerment and how to apply them to a person’s life, plus how to use community to forge the strength in numbers we need for this endeavor.
Change, growth, and evolution on the inside yield change on the outside: we’re coming at the patriarchy from all sides!
INSTRUCTOR: Leanne Shear, Founder of Uplift Studios
