SOMA BREATHWORK IS GOOD FOR YOU
All of the techniques inside of SOMA Breathwork Meditation can be used to help with a variety of chronic health issues that are triggered by chronic emotional stress, autoimmune disease, metabolic diseases, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and more.
How SOMA Breathwork may be beneficial:
• Weight
• Energy
• Creativity
• Immunity
• Sleep
• Digestion
• Longevity
• Mood
• Stress/Anxiety
• Inflammation
• Asthma/Congestion/Sinus
WHO SHOULD NOT PARTICIPATE
All techniques are designed to be a complementary addition to existing health treatments and not a replacement for them. While SOMA Breathwork is considered safe, it is always best to seek medical advice before doing any alternative holistic practice.
Because some of the breathwork includes elements of intermittent hypoxic training (IHT), people with the following conditions should not participate:
- High blood pressure, epilepsy, heart conditions
- Pregnant women
- Acute somatic and viral diseases
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD-II and COPD-III)
- Chronic diseases with symptoms of decompensation or terminal illness
- Individual intolerance of oxygen insufficiency
- Cancer, unless IHT is prescribed by a doctor
- People with pacemakers or heart arrhythmias, unless treatment is under direct medical supervision
SOMA OVERVIEW
SOMA is a complete holistic system of breathwork techniques. SOMA is based on the core pranayama yoga techniques that have the most scientific evidence to support their function. It is inspired by the most revered Pranayama Kumbhaka technique and the Rig Veda, that is the basis of modern day Hinduism and the Vedic philosophy that yoga originates from. It is also inspired by the breathwork technique that is the core of the Wim Hof Method, created by Wim Hof; the work of Dr Prakash Malshe, an Indian doctor based near Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga, who uses pranayama and yoga to treat his patients; and Swami Ambikananda Saraswati, who has one of the most popular yoga schools in the UK that is based on the earliest recorded traditional yoga practices.
