PLAYHOUSE by Stagedoor Manor is thrilled to welcome DANA STEINGOLD, star of Broadway's BEETLEJUICE, AVENUE Q, Nickelodeon's WELCOME TO THE WAYNE, and more!

This 2-hour live digital Workshop is designed to provide one-on-one, invaluable time and instruction with your favorite Broadway star from the comfort of your own home! Students will receive individualized feedback focused on YOU! Designed to help take your auditions and performances to the next level, this class will focus on interpretation, personalization and technique of the song or monologue of your choice. There will also be a Q & A available for Performers and Audience members to ask their most pressing questions!

Ages: 10+ to 20's

HOW IT WORKS:

Sign up as a PERFORMER or as an AUDIENCE MEMBER.

PERFORMER TICKETS ARE INTENDED FOR INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED STUDENTS.

  • There are only 10 performing spots per class, so sign up fast!
  • Each PERFORMER will receive approximately 10 minutes of individualized working time with their Teaching Artist and should be prepared to receive candid feedback intended to take their performances or auditions to the next level.

AUDIENCE MEMBERS ARE OPEN TO ALL AGES AND ALL LEVELS!

  • AUDIENCE MEMBERS will have exclusive access to observe and take away invaluable lessons and insights shared during class.

What you Need:

  • All students will need a computer, tablet or smartphone equipped with WiFi and the Zoom App (download HERE).
  • Singers will need to provide a track of their song to sing along to (live, pre-recorded accompaniment, or karaoke tracks are fine).
  • Participants who are performing songs will also need a second device to play their music.
  • If you would like to purchase a professional accompaniment track, please contact us at email for more information.
  • In addition to your teacher, classes will have a moderator and webinar tech present to help with technical issues, fielding questions and timing.

PERFORMERS:

  • A short song or monologue of your choice (approximately 1-minute).
  • A notepad and pen (or device) to take notes

AUDIENCE MEMBERS:

  • A comfy seat

About the Artist:

DANA STEINGOLD originated the role of Girl Scout in Beetlejuice on Broadway where she also covered the role of Lydia Deetz. Broadway/National Tours: 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Off Broadway/New York: Avenue Q (Kate/Lucy), The Visit (Otillie opposite Chita Rivera), Saturday Night (Mildred), Anyone Can Whistle (City Center Encores!). Regional Included: Papermill Playhouse, North Shore Music Theatre, George Street, Westport Country Playhouse, Barrington Stage, Baltimore Center Stage, KC Rep, North Carolina Theatre, Two River, Weston Playhouse.   • ARTIST AVAILABILITY: Playhouse teaching artists are industry professionals in high demand. Please know that their availability is subject to change. In the event that a teacher becomes unavailable to teach a class, Playhouse reserves the right to engage a replacement teacher for any class or event.
  • CLASS ENROLLMENT: Playhouse reserves the right to cancel any program due to low enrollment.
  • WAITING LIST: Every class and event has a waiting list available to sign up for on Eventbrite. Waiting lists are filled on a first come, first serve basis.
