The History of Graphic Design, Images & Physical Systems in Wargames, 1975-2020 by Rodger B. MacGowanRodger B. MacGowan founded RBM Studio in 1973 in Los Angeles, CA. In 1974, RBM became Lead Illustrator of VERTEX Science Fiction Magazine in Hollywood working with many of the top Science Fiction writers of the time. In 1975 RBM Founded his first Professional Wargame Magazine Fire & Movement. In 1976 RBM was approached by Avalon Hill to become Lead Illustrator for their wargame line starting with “The Russian Campaign”. RBM will present an historical overview of professional graphic design, physical systems design, marketing, advertising, video production, desktop publishing, the computer graphics revolution and related areas within the greater media field from 1973 to the present. RBM's focus will be on the commercial challenges in creating artwork and graphics for simulation games and related products. Rodger B.
