WINE CLASS: The sneaky history of American wine, and it's innovative future | Sunday, 24. May 2020

Prohibition era wine, American experimentation, new hybrid varietals—there's a lot going on wine-wise in the USA.

American wines are often overlooked by drinkers. In this class, we'll talk about how wine came to the USA, how the Prohibition era affected the wine trade, and how hybrid grape varietals are thriving in the US, paving the way for a climate change-friendly wine trade. The United States has a rich history of winemaking—prepare to learn a ton and fall in love with our wines!

We'll taste two wines and talk regions, producers, and leave you feeling excited and empowered about natural wine.

Featured wines will be available for purchase at Rebel Rebel one week prior to the class date. You don't need to purchase wines to enjoy the class! If you're remote, we can suggest alternatives, or you can tune in as a teetotaler and still learn something.

You'll receive a Zoom link to attend class 12 hours before the event start, so make sure your Eventbrite account email address is valid!
