Summer 2020 Training Details
When: 8/24, 8/26, 8/28, 8/31, 9/1, 9/2, 9/3, 9/4, 9/8 and 9/10
Where: Training will take place over Zoom. Registered participants will receive an email regarding Zoom Information
Training Fee: $150 Students/Non Profit Partners
$200 Early Registration
As required by California Evidence Code Section §1037.1(a)(1), all employees and volunteers who will be providing direct client services at any domestic violence service agency are required to receive 40 hours of training on domestic violence. At the end of the training, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate does not act as a license to provide domestic violence services.

- Working with survivors from different cultures and backgrounds
- Peer counseling and active listening skills
- YWCA Glendale’s services and programs
- Legal options for survivors
- Practicing self-care as advocates
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Applicants will be accepted until the training is full. Space is limited.
Participants must attend all the training days in their entirety in order to receive the Certificate of Completion.
Participants must arrive on time.
