Ever wonder how your favorite toys came to be? Come and play with your best loved toys- Legos®, Play-Doh, Slinky®, Magic 8 Ball® and more! Learn how they were invented and then protected afterward by patents and trademarks. Join Sharyl Overhiser, Library Coordinator, Philadelphia Patent and Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) Representative & past United States Patent and Trademark (USPTO) Fellow, as she guides you through the wonderful world of iconic toys. Adults, teens and kids will enjoy!
Take history in the palm of your hand: turn pages, hold manuscripts, and handle artifacts with the Hands-on History series from the Free Library's Special Collections. Curiosity seekers of all ages are welcome! Registration is free, but required.
