The Haiku Walk | Saturday, 21. April 2018

Learn how to translate powerful observations of nature and human-made environments into interesting haiku as you participate in a 1.2 mile walk of discovery. This free event is part of the National Poetry Month Celebration sponsored by the City of Phoenix Office of Arts + Culture.  
The walk will have silent walking and pause moments to enhance observations. Welcome and check in at 8:15 AM at the Entry Garden (Steele Indian School Park), 8:30 there is a haiku overview and practice session, and the walk begins at 8:45. The walk ends at Copper Star Coffee (4220 7th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85013) in time for the National Poetry Month Celebration (7th Ave and Glenrosa, on the Melrose Curve)
Bring: Bring pad or journal and pencil or pen. Dress for warmth and sun. 
 If under 18 years of age, must be accompanied by parent.
