Trauma Informed Cohort Series | Community Campus | Saturday, 22. September 2018

Are you hungry to know more about how to best support children who are impacted by adverse childhood experiences? Join NHAEYC for our fall intensive training series! The effects of trauma and how best to support children who have experienced trauma is the number one issue that NHAEYC members report wanting to learn more about. The prevalence rates for young children experiencing trauma and chronic stress are increasing and early childhood professionals are in a unique position to offer support and strategies to mitigate the long-term effects.
The Trauma Informed Cohort Series consists of five sessions targeted at early childhood professionals who want to delve deep into how to best support children who are impacted by adverse childhood experiences. The training will begin with ACEs 101 and feature a range of topics from creating trauma sensitive environments to policy change. Participants will be able to answer the question “So now what?” and will leave each session with concrete next steps for providing trauma informed care.
