Certified Scrum Product Owner | AgileTrailblazers | Tuesday, 07. April 2020

The Certified Scrum Product Owner course is a two-day class that greatly exceeds the required Scrum Alliance curriculum. It covers enough of the basics of Scrum to be taken independently of the CSM class, but also layers on significant advanced thinking in successful product development and delivery. The CSPO focuses on the skills needed to design, build and refine commercially successful products, including:

· Establishing and maintaining a clear product vision
· Iterative product delivery
· Decomposing the vision into ready team backlog that allows them to move rapidly
· Customer-centered development
· Leveraging “Design thinking” and “Lean Startup” product creation techniques
· Market segmentation and customer understanding
· Portfolio management and quantitative feature prioritization
· Release planning and stakeholder alignment
· Product feedback and techniques for distilling useful signal from noise .

The course uses Scrum to organize the class and help illustrate the concepts in practice. We rely heavily on class participation through a combination of group exercises, facilitated discussions, case studies, tool examples and open Q&A to amplify the principles, ground them in hands-on experience, and create a clear path forward beyond the classroom. The courses also use a flexible format to tune the class in real time that allows the class to tailor its own learning experience for maximum value.
All participants in certified classes are eligible to receive the Scrum Alliance’s Certified Scrum Product Owner designation. The cost of certification is included in the course fee.
