2019 Capital Region Grown Up Easter Egg Hunt | Mabee Farm Historic Site | Saturday, 27. April 2019

This popular event happening the weekend after Easter back and bigger than ever, moving to the Mabee Farm Historic Site for 2019!

The Capital Region Grown-Up Easter Egg Hunt started in 2012 as part of a Leukemia & Lymphoma fundraiser. Founders Danielle Sanzone and Karen Jamack started joking with friends on Twitter about turning the childhood tradition of Easter Egg hunting into a "Grown Up" version featuring prizes geared towards adults. The idea gained so much traction, Sancone and Jamack created the first event with just a handful of volunteers. It was so successful, they decided to make it an annual tradition benefiting a different charity every year. In 2012, about 75 people attended and raised a total of $700. In 2015, 500 people attended at Prospect Park and in downtown Troy, and raised more than $10,000. In 2017, over 150 businesses donated about $13,000 worth of items.

This year, all proceeds are going to the Melissa Daniels Memorial Scholarship! Join us on April 27 for a great day full of fun, food, and prizes! Be sure to RSVP on Facebook to keep up to date on all the details as the event gets closer!
