Restored by Light returns to Mission Concepcion in 2017 as part of the World Heritage Festival. Celebrate our heritage with food, music, and fun!

6 pm - Kids Activities and Mission Tours
7 pm - Music Concert by USAA Band and Chorus
8:30 pm - Light Projection Show with tunes by Steven Lee Moya

Restored By Light is a community-wide showcase of the intricate and vivid frescoes that were once visible on the facades of San Antonio's Missions. Restored By Light is made free and open to the public. Pack a picnic for this family-friendly event or grab a **** from one of the several food trucks that will be available.

  • Restored By Light is Friday night! Here is everything you need to know to plan ahead for this event: -This event is one night only, so don’t miss out! -There will be food and drinks for sale at the event, but you are also welcome to bring a picnic. Beer and wine will also be for sale. -Lawn chairs, camping chairs, and blankets are strongly encouraged. Seating is first come / first serve and many people reserve their spots in advance. -Restored By Light is pet-friendly. -Parking is available at two locations. Please arrive from the north on Mission Road and follow the signs. People arriving from the south with be rerouted to Mitchell Rd. Overflow parking will also be available at the Bexar Juvenile Detention Center on Mitchell. -Thanks to extended service provided along the VIVA Missions Route, you can also ride or bike to the event. -The event begins at 6:00 pm with kids activities and tours inside Mission Concepcion. The USAA concert starts at 7:00 pm, and lighting of the mission starts at 8:30 pm. Make sure you arrive in time to see the unveiling!   • Plan your trip! VIA Metropolitan Transit will provide extended service hours for passengers traveling to Restored by Light at Mission Concepción. VIA's VIVA missions (Route 40) will continue service to the event through 11 PM on Friday, September 8. Visit VIAinfo.net/VIVA to learn more about the VIVA routes and explore the heart of San Antonio. Bike racks will also be provided for cyclists next to the B-Cycle station located at Mission Concepcion.

  • There are two parking locations available for Restored By Light. In order to provide safe and convenient pedestrian access, Mission Road will be CLOSED between Theo Ave and Theo Pkwy. Please plan your route in advance to arrive from the north on Mission Rd. Individuals needing handicapped parking can show their mirror tag to traffic volunteers and get a reserved spot. #RestoredByLight
