Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) June 21st & 22nd -Fresno Campus | National University - Fresno | Friday, 21. June 2019

This two-day course is recommended for emergency medical responders, nurses, physicians, and physicians’ assistants. The course meets from 9 AM to 5 PM on both days. This onsite course covers a wide variety of traumatic emergency recognition and treatments. Certification is valid for four years and is accredited through NAEMT. Students will gain essential knowledge and skills in the following areas: identification of mechanism of injury, identifying life-threatening injuries and the related pathophysiology, rapid and detailed trauma assessment techniques, airway management and ventilation, rapid extrication, spinal immobilization, traumatic brain injuries, burns, mass casualty incidents, and pediatric trauma management.
