Infant Nutrition Workshop: Introducing Solids to Babies w/Baby Led Weaning | Family Resource Center of Truckee | Tuesday, 25. September 2018

Learn how to introduce solids to your baby in a way that allows him/her to be a part of family meals and intuitively choose what and how much to eat. Baby Led Weaning skips pureed "baby foods" and goes straight to finger foods with the understanding that babies can feed themselves right from the start. This popular workshop provides evidence-based information on safety and nutrition, and participants will walk away with all the tools they need to confidently introduce finger foods to their babies including recipes and a "first 12 days" menu.
Recommended participants are parents/caregivers who have not yet started incorporating solids for their babies or parents-to-be/caregivers-in-training. Moms, dads, and caregivers who have already introduced solids to their babies but want to learn more about Baby Led Weaning, or those who have already started Baby Led Weaning and want to learn more about it from a nutrition professional will also benefit from this workshop.
Scholarships from the FRC of Truckee are available for this workshop. If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact DanaDoseRDN@gmail.com to inquire.
NOTE: "Baby Led Weaning" has nothing to do with weaning away from breastfeeding, and is, in fact, very much in line with continued breastfeeding and bottle feeding alike.
