Strengthening Families Program Sessions 2020 | Wellington County | Wednesday, 27. November 2019

The Strengthening Families programs are for parents and caregivers with children from 7 to16. The activities include individual games/sessions for parents and children or teens, followed by a family game/ session. Over 10 weeks parents and children develop communication skills, improve family bonding and increase family time together.
We will be running sessions starting February 2020 in Guelph and March 2020 in Arthur or Harriston. Please register and you will receive more information about proposed start dates and locatioins.  
The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) is a nationally and internationally recognized parenting and family strengthening program for at risk and general population families. SFP is an evidence-based family skills training program found to significantly improve parenting skills and family relationships, reduce problem behaviors and alcohol and drug abuse in children and to improve social competencies and school performance. Child mistreatment also decreases as parents strengthen bonds with their children and learn more effective parenting skills.
¨ Dinner is provided so you don’t have to cook! You only need to get the family there on time.
¨  Need help getting there? Assistance is available.
¨  Child care on site for siblings under 7 years
 There is no cost to families to attend these sessions, however, families must live in Guelph or Wellington County.
