The Making of a Self-sewn Summer Capsule Wardrobe/SKIRT CLASS | Union Market/LAB 1270 | Saturday, 13. April 2019

A capsule wardrobe is a carefully curated collection of garments. It can consist of about 10-20 pieces for mixing and matching to create different looks to meet the occasion. A capsule wardrobe greatly improves getting dressed on the daily basis for any occasion. In most cases a capsule wardrobe will consist of three basic colors, black, grey and blue and/or bright colors for the warm weather months. Have fun by adding pops of color with a blouse, jacket or even a scarf. There is no right or wrong.
The series will consist of three wardrobe staples pieces; slacks, skirt and a dress. Participants in the first class (on 4/13) will make a skirt.  All three items are simple designs with easy to follow patterns intended for an intermediate level sewer (prerequisite: sewing 101). All three items are a good launching pad to creating your self-sewn summer capsule wardrobe. All supplies and materials will be provided. All you do is *register and show-up.
