Finding New Ways to Think About Fractions | Mathematics Institute of Wisconsin | Thursday, 14. November 2019


Come explore how using and connecting mathematical representations can engage students in reasoning about fractions as numbers.
This workshop will focus on students seeing unit fractions as the building blocks of all fractions. Learn more about ways to extend understanding of operations with whole numbers to fractions to support students in applying rules and procedures in meaningful ways.
Walk away with ideas to build fraction sense and expand student understanding of fractions as numbers.

Cost: $418 Includes light breakfast and lunch.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made more than 180 days prior to this event will receive a full refund minus a processing fee of $25. Cancellations made between 180 and 30 days of the event will receive a 50% refund minus a processing fee of $25. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 30 days of the event.
This workshop will be capped at 32 participants. The deadline to register is November 8, 2019.
