Moving Stillness...Embracing Embodiment Practice (Zazen and Qigong Practice) | Manitou Center | Sunday, 18. November 2018

Moving Embodiment Practice (Zazen and Qigong Practice)In this seminar, we will explore our body-mind continuum as means of connecting more deeply and intimately with ourselves and our daily lives.  Connecting both in stillness and movement brings us to the present moment of our life and offers the opportunity to be here with ourselves and everything else with which we co-create our world.  It nurtures us to get out of our heads and into the life right in front of us as it unfolds. Our shared practice will include both seated and walking practices and will take place both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting) at Manitou Center.   An orientation to these practices will be conducted at the beginning of this experience so no prior experience is necessary.Qi gong is one of the five branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine and an integrated body-mind practice that promotes balance and wellness in a holistic manner.  The practices within this retreat will familiarize participants with integrated breath/movement practices suitable for both experienced practitioners as well as and practicing holistic ways of tending to our body-mind allows for a deeper understanding of ourselves and how we inter—relate to the entirety of our life.
