AWET: Additive 101 - Printing Basics | Youngstown Business Incubator | Wednesday, 11. March 2020

Attendees will learn the basic design skills in Autodesk Fusion 360 using a program provided laptop. They will customize part and save it as an stl file. The students will transfer the file into Cura of Simplify 3D for slicing of the part. The part will be saved as a gcode for printing on the program provided 3D printers. Attendees will take the file to the printer and load printer with the part and begin the printing process. While the part is being printed, students will get an AM 101 overview including materials, processes, and applications. Attendees will receive hands-on experience on available 3D printing websites, software, and apps. Once the parts are completed, students will remove prints from the build plates. Attendees will learn about the 7 types of AM.

Parking can be found at the ABM lot across the street from TBB5. This lot is also located behind the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center. There is a fee to park in this lot. Any questions regarding parking can be directed to lot administrator, ABM Parking.
